We are currently seeking talented Senior Project Manager to join our team to help us provide business development and project management services for all power clients with a particular focus on Power Generation and Power Networks. This position will manage client relationships and multiple projects.


This is a Doer-Seller position that can involve a wide variety of diverse assignments including: resource assessment, due diligence, siting, feasibility studies, new technology evaluation, project proposal evaluation, market assessments, strategic planning, policy evaluation, pro forma economic analysis, project design, and construction management.

As part of our business development and project management team, you will play a critical role in project teams, providing strategic, unbiased and objective advisory services to assist our clients implement studies, solve issues and improve their business performance. You will have the opportunity to work with our talented people who, like you, are experts in their respective fields.

Furthermore you will be expected to work closely with clients, both to win and execute work that helps solve their key problems. This will involve regular interaction with the sales team and require you to be entrepreneurial in your outlook.


Business Intelligence & Client Relationships · Must be seen as an experienced & knowledgeable subject matter expert by the Client;
· Able to present to senior / executive client management to secure work;
· Interact with clients including: utilities, energy project developers, financial institutions, energy end-users, investors, government agencies, and other organizations;
· Contributes to the design and implementation of business development campaigns;
· Monitor industry, global trends and knowledge of key market drivers to evaluate clients’ business needs now and into the future;
· Build trusted relationships with clients at an individual and cross business level that result in business opportunities;
· Develop and maintain constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders;

Execution of WorleyParsons Projects · Serve as the Project Manager (PM) on an EOC (Engineer of Choice) contract consulting and engineering services projects to meet both WorelyParsons' and clients’ goals.
Specific technology focus includes solar (PV & CSP/ISCC), energy storage, and natural gas projects, but could include other energy technologies such as wind, geothermal. & CHP
· Support Pursuits & Execution Strategy for Projects, e.g. Global Workshare (HVE’s);
· Intervene, troubleshoot and take corrective action for projects as required;
· Ensure timely payment collection requirements are met;
· Ensure consistency of working methods, tools and deliverables between projects to the maximum extent practical.
· Understand and apply WorleyParsons tools and processes (EMS, WPMP, OneWay TM , etc.) as relevant;

Commercial Acumen & Governance · Demonstrated entrepreneurial & commercial acumen to ensure consistent risk and commercial practices are applied in line with WorleyParsons procedures;
· Understands economic, financial, industry, and organizational trends to accurately diagnose clients’ business strengths & challenges;
· Contribute to project delivery in compliance with business policies;
· As needed, provide input into performance reporting of the Power Networks team.

Branding and Marketing
· Promote the WorleyParsons brand;
· Understand the location marketing plan;
· Actively share market intelligence within the local and global WorleyParsons teams at the appropriate forums;
· Represent WorleyParsons business in the public domain though networking and participating in market forums, conferences and appropriate social media systems.
· Demonstrate an established external profile.

Strategy & Planning · Work in alignment to location & regional vision and strategies to build WorleyParsons business;
· Work with WorleyParsons leadership to identify new business prospects within own area and beyond own scope, through working collaboratively across WorleyParsons . Utilize referrals, relevant opportunity data bases, marketing events/conferences, internal and external networking, sources lead prior to Request For Tender process;
· Meet clients and help drive sales
· Design and facilitate client workshops and meetings.


What you will bring

• A degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive project management experience within the power generation and/or power networks space (10-15 years exp).
• Experience with Fossil, Hydro Gen, Renewables and Power Networks (Power Delivery) verticals
