About the opportunity

Jacobs Perth is renowned for the excellence of our technical consulting and project delivery expertise. With a variety of current projects and a strong pipeline we are seeking to recruit a key position - Senior Geotechnical Engineer who has a wealth of experience within transport, building infrastructure and mining projects. This key role will see you partner in build relationships and develop smart offerings by design innovation to secure work for Jacobs and our construction partners.

Key work areas of the role will include:

A key component of this role will be to deliver geotechnical modelling, analysis and advice on a wide variety of projects; you will also have the opportunity to support the wider Jacobs business, both nationally and internationally. Your dedication to providing the highest quality advice and solutions to our clients and your passion to drive and shape and grow the geotechnical consulting business will be strongly considered.

To be successful you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Project delivery on a range of projects with varying complexity,
  • Proven experience with finite element analysis and associated geotechnical software,
  • Provide technical direction to team members,
  • Identify client satisfaction drivers for projects and develop strategies with project teams to achieve them,
  • Manage and undertake technical and interdisciplinary reviews of deliverables,
  • Identify and address issues that would impact on desired project outcomes,
  • Ability to assist in delivering bids and proposals including development of value propositions, commercial understanding, risk management, and resource management,
  • Tertiary qualifications in Geotechnical Engineering,
  • Extensive experience across a variety of complex geotechnical consulting projects,
  • Exposure to Australian specifications will be highly regarded,
  • Experience leading complex geotechnical projects, managing client relationships and managing a team of engineers, and
  • Ability to think analytically, logically and communicate at the highest level with internal and external stakeholders.
