Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Business Planning Engineer located in Aberdeen / Scotland through 29th November 2016 at 11:59 p.m.

Reporting to the General Manager - Projects and Future Growth, the Business Planning Engineer is responsible for coordinating and developing cross-functional technical forecasts/models at a department level.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Business Plan - Coordination:
  • Coordinates/developes cross-functional technical forecasts/models at a department level (including assumptions and integrated activities of the business plan for all MCP's, Exploration, BD & Technology)
  • Works closely with Project Managers, to ensure the department achieves its strategic directive and delivers new production toward the 150 MBD target post 2020
  • Works closely with Planning and Commercial team to develop the final business plan submission
  • Ensures project managers agree and sign off on the submitted business plans  
    Performance Management / Milestone Accomplishments / Communication:
  • Focal point for working with Planning and Commercial and Finance for tracking total performance of department against the plan, and for tracking and explaining deviations against the plan  
    Facilitation - Growth & Future Projects:
  • Facilitates the Leadership Team and other cross-functional engagements, on maturing activity plans and facilitates decision making to optimize effective execution   
    Special Projects:
  • Manages special projects at the request of the General Manager, in support of the delivering future growth for CUE.  
    Required Qualifications:
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) ideally in petroleum engineering discipline
  • Ability and experience to work with teams to build, run and validate models, develop accurate/detailed integrated work plans and interface effectively with Planning and Commercial resources
  • Demonstrated history of delivering results in line with the Chevron Way and a strong OE/CSOC focus
  • Proven skills in building and managing effective relationships with key stakeholders
  • Past experience of project management and activity planning is preferred
  • Effective and visible OE leader
