An Exciting Opportunity with the Supply Chain Operations Team at the capacity of an Inventory Analyst who knows to speak, read & write Spanish.
The Inventory Analyst provides high level of Supply Chain system support to ensure data integrity in material management system. Identifies process improvement and training needs. Works with SAP team on finding and enhancing system solutions.
Chennai Operations as part of Supply Chain Operations ensures the right components are available for the fast growing service business of Vestas. We constantly focus on timely delivery as well as not compromising on Quality. We focus on optimisation, by having low Inventory as well as also ensuring timely delivery to the customers. It is a challenging task that is ever changing. The department is operating Globally, so an international experience comes with the job. We are looking for skilled personals who are well structured, well organised and ready to work in a global environment with many Cultural Differences. You need to be able to handle large amount of data, coordinating with various stake holders.


  • System Expert and primary support contact for SAP transactions in the Material Management module, Master Data and Supply Chain processes.
  • Offer system knowledge and provide training on Supply Chain procedures, best practices and SAP transactions to remote sites and Central Warehouse.
  • Continuously review and update training schedule for new and existing inventory/ tool personnel in collaboration with SAP Competency Center to ensure consistent and up-to-date knowledge at sites and Central Warehouse.
  • Work with SAP Competency Center on finding system solutions and enhancing existing solutions. Work with Master Data Management Team in Denmark on material number creation and Master Data changes.
  • Review inventory adjustment requests from sites and Central Warehouse and post approved inventory adjustment requests in ERP system. Work with Finance to ensure that costs of material are charged to proper financial account/ cost center. Monitor volume of inventory adjustments and flag potential areas of risk.
  • Schedule cycle counts for sites and Central Warehouse. Review and post cycle count results in ERP system. Track and analyze inventory accuracy rates.
  • Complete special projects as directed by management.

  • Associates degree,Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Business or related field preferred.
  • 8 or more years of inventory, purchasing or supply chain management experience.
  • 8 or more years in Warehouse/ Stores or distribution and service organization.
  • Experience in SAP MM & SAP FICO is Mandatory.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Mandatory to have good Spanish speaking, reading and writing skills.

  • Ability to present in front of large groups.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work proactively and independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • A good Team Player and a Go-Getter.
  • Willing to work in complete Night Shifts.
