We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Security Shift Supervisor at our VC Summer site in Jenkinsville, SC.

In this position, a Security Shift Supervisor can expect to be responsible for the following:

.•Assists in the coordination and assignment of Security Officers on assigned to the project.
•Responsible for the proper execution of assigned duties.
•Coordinates training and qualifications with security subcontractor for new officers.
•Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities including interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
•Maintains a professional departmental, company and community reputation.
•Maintains regular, consistent attendance record.
•Knowledgeable of and adhere to all rules and regulations, policies, and orders.
•Performs observations and assessments to ensure compliance with procedures.
•Provides overall protection of company assets.
•Ensures Investigations and Incident reports are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner for all events.
•Develops and revises Post and Standing Orders related to the security department.
•Interacts with local law enforcement agencies as required.
Interacts with Client Security and Construction Department personnel as required.•Provides expertise when creating security orientation and/or training for site personnel and visitors.
•Coordinates traffic control, parking policies and manages data-base for parking violations.
•Creates and coordinates communication for daily shift briefings as necessary.
•Leads and performs training presentations of lessons learned and best practices.
•Oversight of daily subcontractor operational reports to ensure accuracy.
•Ensures Access Control requirements are in accordance with regulations.
•Attends, and satisfactorily completes all required training as assigned and required.
•Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associates Degree preferred
  • Intermediate or advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook
Preferred Requirements:
  • College level courses or other training, experience and/or certifications in the Physical Security field
  • General knowledge of Security Technology Systems primarily Access Control Software and Physical Security Patrols monitoring software
  • Has knowledge of NEI 09-01 Security requirements of New Nuclear Construction, NRC regulations as well as company internal controls, policies, and procedure.
  • Must be able to deal with various levels of personality traits and maintain self-control.
  • Knowledge of Nuclear INPO Traits.
  • Must conduct oneself in a professional and efficient manner during interaction with people.
