This position is needed to ensure that the operations of Blade Shop and Rotor Assembly are completed accurately & documented as per customer, project, ITP & quality system requirements.

Essential Responsibilities

The Quality Control Specialist will be responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity. In this role, you will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

• Implement & maintain IMS system in respective work area.
• Support product & process qualification, NCR handling & root cause analysis.
• Responsible for implementation of ITPs, work instruction as required in machine shop.
• Identify and verify the quality requirements (inspection and test requirements) and record the results of the verification during the various stages.
• Ensure the measuring and testing equipment is validated (fit for purpose); set correctly and calibrated (fit for use).
• Provide technical advice in specialized quality control techniques such as metrology, statistical techniques, quality codes and standards.
• Carry out tests on products by observing or measuring dimensions, weight, or physical or geometrical characteristics against specified requirements.
Release goods and services for next process steps.
• Raise technical deviation notes/ NCRs in case requirements are not satisfied.
• Establish and maintain accurate records of tests and inspections Include In-Process Inspections and Measurements, finished goods or services acceptance measurements.
• Verify acceptable standards with defined limits of variation in quality of the material, size, weight, finish or other characteristics for goods or services.
• Support Corrective and Preventive Actions and the experience response, where required.
• Actively participate in customer witness and other hold points.
• Ensure the required quality documentation is established, submitted for approval.
• Ensures appropriate experience and lessons learned are fed back to the organisation.
• Ensure process and / or measurement systems qualification and capability studies are performed, recorded and where required improvement actions are implemented.
• Handling for measuring instruments.
• Brings "Best Practices" in place.
• EHS Management:
- Participate to the risks assessment in his/her area
- Implements preventive actions
- Trains and informs his/her personnel


• Bachelor's degree (Mechanical Engineering) from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 5-8 years of manufacturing experience with a strong focus in quality)

Desired Characteristics

• Additional experience in the manufacturing industry with a strong focus in quality
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with Internal Quality Auditing for ISO 9001:2000
. Good knowledge of National & International standards
. Hand on experience on measuring instruments
• Strong data collection and analysis skills
• Prior experience in inspection processes for manufacturing
• Prior experience in Documentation Control
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
