The OneOSS Supervisor will manage all aspects of Machining / Welding in Field for OSS Steam and Gas Turbine jobs.

Essential Responsibilities

As the OneOSS Supervisor, you will:
  • Support OneOSS Service Manager for on-site repairs jobs
  • Execute assignments according to GE EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety)and Quality requirements
  • Complete all pre-job planning and post job reporting required, fulfilling the needs of the customer as assigned including, machine and tooling preparation, ordering parts and supplies and preparation and review of EHS Safety Plan / Quality Plan
  • Be proficient in all aspects of the OSM service offering to be able to independently complete assignments to the satisfaction of the customer
  • Ensure OSS EHS rules are reviewed and understood with crew prior to starting work
  • Have Daily Tool Box Talks to address any safety issues that may arise and should include Site EHS Manager
  • Provide technical direction to those performing the work on Customer sites in line with technical requirements
  • Provide guidance / leadership on crew duties and assignments such that the project is completed in a safe manner with quality results within the schedule allowed
  • Be responsible for projects as assigned by OSS management, development of "New Technology" service offerings, delivery of training to broader OSS team, and to drive safety, quality, and customer-centric culture to OSS team onsite
  • Be responsible for the operation of machine tools as assigned, both in and out of the service network
  • Ensure documentation is completed: STA's, Safety Observations, Quality Documents, Technical Data Sheets, list of procedures followed, EngaGE, etc.
  • Provide OSS progress updates to PS customer team and OneOSS SM
  • Act as OSS Project Manager for larger scope repair outages, tracking all aspects of the Project execution; labor, logistics and tool rental
  • Communicate EHS concerns / ideas via STA's, Safety Observations, and Weekly Safety Calls
  • Mentor and develop OSS technicians on the job.
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Steam and/ or Gas Turbine Technologies
  • Ability and willingness to travel significantly with NO restrictions, both domestic and international
  • Ability to gain access to and work in Nuclear Power Plants and Countries other than US
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime and 2nd shift

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Desired Characteristics

  • High degree of experience/ expertise with machining and all types of steam turbine repairs
  • Familiarization with welding and gas turbine repairs
  • Experience with union / hourly workforce
  • Minimum of 10 years of Field Service Repairs Experience
  • Unyielding commitment to integrity

  • Experience with developing instructions and leading an hourly union workforce
  • Experience with OSR portable machine shop
  • Technical knowledge steam turbine repairs
  • Ability to interpret drawings and specifications

  • Demonstrated self-starter and change agent
  • Skilled in MS Suite, including Outlook and Schedule
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in portable field machining
