Supports leadership for the development, implementation and governance of the GPS Projects organization's strategy relating to Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) in line with the P&L and GE Power business approach. Coordinates the development and maintenance of the EHS Global Integrated Systems Technology and Construction & Commissioning Management System across the C&C Organization in compliance with ISO standards, certifications and business requirements.

Essential Responsibilities

• Ensures continuous development of the GPS Projects EHS culture and performance by defining and monitoring actions in terms of accident and ill health prevention and environmental protection
• Ensures the coordination and communication of Global GIST and C&C EHS policy and controlled documentation across the GPS Projects organization
• Sustains EHS performance improvement by monitoring the established Key Performance Indicators and by taking actions whenever necessary
• Develops, integrates and standardizes EHS processes and documentation throughout the organization
• Coordinates site EHS internal audit program in the organization
• Develops EHS initiatives to enhance the organization' s EHS
• Implements and coordinate EHS training programs within the organization at all levels, ensuring personnel are adequately trained for the functions they are performing
• Provides the global GPS Projects' personnel with suitable EHS expertise related to roles, responsibilities and general EHS rules.
• Takes part in the GE continuous improvement process and performance by participating to cross-P&L and cross-sectors working groups and training sessions.
• Ensures sharing of best practices across the EHS Community and the GIST and C&C organization.
• Develops effective cross-regional EHS communication and sharing mechanisms.
• Prepares and releases EHS bulletins as required.
• Leads Root Cause Analysis related to EHS Events as required.
• Supports and coordinates deployment of the organization's EHS processes across the regions
• Deploys processes to ensure identification of and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Supports the development of the EHS community fostering a collaborative approach
• Integrates CSR policies relating to integrated products
• Facilitates the mobilization and assignment of the GE permanent site EHS staff between the regions
• Provides training and coaching to the site EHS community as required


• Master's degree in a relevant area from an accredited college or university
• Significant EHS experience with demonstrated growth over roles of increasing responsibility
• Process orientation and ability to continuously drive improvement
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Experience in working across a broad ecosystem of stakeholders to manage change and deliver results
• Demonstrated ability to message / communicate effectively to many stakeholders, including Senior Leadership
