The selected individual will support, and deputize for, the Project Director in leading a major rail transportation construction management project. The role includes the following:

• Manage the consultant construction management contract and the Joint Venture team performing the required services, acting as primary point of contact to the client and for all subconsultants within the JV team.

o Maintain controls over budget consumption, staff assignments, performance metrics and other indicators of suitable performance of the work.

o Prepare, review and approve monthly progress reports, invoices and other reports required by contract.

o Lead development and negotiation of contract modifications, task orders and staffing plan updates.

o Participate in project senior staff meetings and other progress meetings.

• As requested or directed by the client, provide technical and management capabilities to support and investigate project issues that are challenged and need resolution. This may require acting as Construction Manager or incident investigator, as necessary.

• Provide direction and guidance to Construction Managers and other key personnel within the team, to confirm standards for safety, quality and execution of the work meet the standards required by Jacobs and the client.

• As JV Project Director, report to JV partners on significant project issues and developments, contractual status and other pertinent items. Participate in JV Board meetings.

• As Jacobs Project Manager, maintain project controls data and internal reporting on staffing and contract performance. Participate in local office management activities, as applicable.

• Function as line manager of all Jacobs staff assigned to the project, including responsibility for timesheet approvals, performance reviews, training, and other personnel issues.

• Any other task commensurate with the Project Director function as directed by the client or Jacobs leadership.

• Engineering or Construction Management Degree.

• PE or equivalent (subject to client approval).

• 20 years minimum related experience in delivering rail transportation projects, with at least 10 years leading such contracts.

o Knowledge of rail transit systems and working on passenger railroad or transit projects is preferred.

o Experience with managing schedules and budgets.

o At least 5 years of experience managing staff.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management software products.
