Seeking a dedicated new hire who has a passion for Traffic Engineering and Transportation Planning to join our established group!

Duties will include:

• Develop traffic data collection plans for large scale projects, such as Corridor Studies and Alternatives Analysis

• Analyze and perform Quality Assurance / Quality Control of received field data, calculations, designs and deliverables.

• Code and run micro-simulation models (CORSIM and VISSIM specifically). Post-process and analyze results for calibration and future analyses. Complete documentation of methodologies, procedures, and results

• Apply methodologies from Highway Capacity Manual (HCM) 2010 for arterial, collector-distributor roadways, and freeway segments including, but not limited to intersections, merge & diverge segments, and weaving segments. Run Highway Capacity Software (HCS) 2010 and Synchro Professional to obtain results

• Perform crash data analyses and develop appropriate mitigation measures

• Run and modify travel demand models (TransCAD and Cube)

• Develop traffic forecasts for large projects, such as Corridor Studies and Alternatives Analysis

• Extensive documentation and report writing of methodologies, procedures, and results of all duties performed

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required

• Master's Degree with traffic/transportation specialization preferred

• Previous traffic engineering / modeling internship preferred

• Previous experience with CORSIM, VISSIM, Synchro, and/or HCS preferred

• Registered EIT preferred or able to obtain registration within 6 months of hire

• Ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills with traffic engineering and/or transportation planning experience
