Position Overview: The Contracts Administrator (Subcontracts) is responsible for administering all awarded subcontract services required to support the ongoing operational, production and administrative functions of WorleyParsonsCord Ltd (“WPC”). This encompasses all aspects of the subcontract administration from organizing kick-off meeting, progress meetings, writing meeting notes, vetting and logging LEMs, processing invoices, management of change, claims resolution to subcontract reconciliation and closeout.

Relationship: The Contracts Administrator (Subcontracts) reports directly to the Director, Subcontracts in all matters. In functional duties, the incumbent will liaise with all departments and branches including project and site construction managers, the module yard, the fabrication shop, project controllers and other internal and external customers of WorleyParsonsCord.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain an efficient and effective supply chain base through the selection, qualification and ongoing management of subcontractors. This will include the development, implementation and execution of processes with internal and external customers to address subcontractor prequalification, delivery, performance, quality, best value, service, technical improvements, safety and other related items.
  • Provide information on industry procurement practices including: strategic procurement, contract law, proposal solicitation, negotiation strategies, treatment of irregularities, securing best value, subcontract preparation, logistics, performance management, ethics, etc and recommend process improvements accordingly.
  • Responsible to work with the various project teams to develop scopes of work, safety and loss control, quality standards and other relevant issues.
  • General subcontract administration and coordination of approved and authorized proposals / agreements.
  • Maintain professionalism and remain current with new developments through contacts with educational institutions, professional organizations, publications and in house training.
  • Adhere to all corporate policies and ethics codes, i.e., Corporate Code of Conduct.
  • Undertake specifically assigned projects relating to the procurement and contract functions and provide summaries, reports, business cases and recommendations on projects along with other activities as required

  • 5-10 years in field contract administration in a manufacturing, oil & gas or construction environment.
  • Project Management experience is preferred
  • Commercial knowledge
  • Preference will be given to those candidates with SCMP accreditation (C.P.P.), Business Administration Diploma, applicable degree and / or specific education in the areas of Accounting, Business Planning and Operations, Business/Contract Law, Commerce and Management Theories.
  • Knowledgeable in Supply Chain Management processes utilized in manufacturing, oil & gas and / or construction environments.
  • A high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to focus decisions on Overall Customer and Business Impact.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Maturing negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work productively with nominal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written formats.
  • Ability to influence decisions and results without alienating people or being adversarial.
  • Computer literate, in all Microsoft office products.

Work Conditions:
  • Shift: 4 days on / 3 days off (10 hours per day) OR 5 days on / 2 days off
