The Wind Advanced Technologies (WAT) team is responsible for leading New Technology Introduction (NTI) programs focused on reducing the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) for wind power. The successful candidate will be part of the Mechanical Wind Advanced Technology team focused on wind turbine rotating parts.

Essential Responsibilities

AS the Senior Engineer, Wind Advanced Technologies, Rotating Parts, you will:

• Develop, test and validate new designs and concepts for rotating parts which include: pitch bearings, main bearings, main shaft, gearbox high speed shaft, yaw system and generator.
• Provide innovative design solutions to meet aggressive timing, cost and reliability
• Work cross-functionally with the mechanical sub-system and design team to develop new technologies, trade studies and cost-out.
• Drive efforts to introduce advanced technology, materials manufacturing methods to advance strategic positioning of our product


• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited University
• Minimum 7 years of engineering experience

• Strong understanding of system and component design
• Ability to summarize and communicate complex technical information
• Ability to work and influence stakeholders at all levels across the organization
• Strong problem analysis and resolution skills
