Lead Repair Technology Engineer will be responsible for effective identification, qualification, industrialization, and support of the component repair processes at our Gas Turbine Repair Service Center in GE Keppel, Singapore. In this role, you will support development, startup, and implementation of Aeroderivative Industrial Gas Turbine component's repairs and also serve as the Shop's Repair Process Technical Expert.

Essential Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Participate directly on core RTCoE Component Engineer team
• Provide technical leadership to shop operations team
• Facilitate implementation and qualification of new repairs
• Lead repair projects that improve safety, quality, productivity, and cycle using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
• Review and approve shop repair plans and work instructions
• Provide technical assistance for process and quality issue resolution
• Perform special process audits to ensure compliance with GE requirements
• Provide timely communications to GRS Ops and RTCoE on significant issues or developments
• Participate on teams for problem solving, standardization, and best practice sharing
• Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
• Provide technology support to regional commercial repair team
• Facilitate review and fulfillment of non-standard customer repair requests


• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials or related Engineering
• Minimum five years of engineering experience
• Minimum three years of experience working with and/or supporting an operations environment
• Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong oral and written communication skills

Desired Characteristics

• Experience with Gas Turbine manufacture, design or services
• Experience with Gas Turbine repair processes (stripping, welding, brazing, machining, inspection, coating)
• Experience with Aviation and Power Service repair qualification procedures
• Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers
• Independent thinker; proven ability to lead across functions; data/fact driven decision maker; change agent; customer focus.
