Drill Pipe SPA
The SPA Drilling Mobile Tools of Wells Rig Engineering Team, and will have close links to the Operations Team, Equipment Integrity and Assurance team. The position is the SPA (Single Point of Accountability) for all Mobil Drilling Tools which include the following activities.

Engagement with the rig drilling & completion team, drilling contractor and all other service companies that supply drilling equipment for the operations in the AGT region.

We are currently recruiting for an Drill Tool SPA on behalf of our client, a global Operating Company.

Location- Baku, Azerbaijan

Duration- 12 month Contract

Rota- 6 Weeks ON, 2 Weeks OFF

  • Material Management of all client owned and rented Drilling Mobile Tools that include
    • Drill Pipe.
    • Drill Pipe Crossover
    • Chicksan packages
    • Drill Pipe handling tools
    • Casing handling tools
    • Bushing running tools
    • Drill Stem Safety Valves/TIW
    • Gray Valves.
  • Work closely with the drilling contractor and service companies to ensure that their compliance to the management (tracking, repair storage and preservation) of Drilling Mobile Tools meets client expectations.
  • Work closely the drilling and completion engineers in developing a demand plan for of all drill pipe, collars, crossovers and HWDP for future wells to ensure sufficient inventory is in country.
  • Work closely with PSCM on the justification and procurement of all new Drilling Mobile Tools.
  • Have an oversight of all Drilling Mobile Tools movements within the business unit.
  • Prioritise the scheduling for inspection for all Drilling Mobile Tools depending on the needs of each operations team.
  • Prioritise the scheduling for machining and repair for all Drilling Mobile Tools depending on the needs of each operations team.
  • Act as the interface between NOV Tuboscope and the client with regard to compliance to their current contract
  • Periodic reviews of all inspection criteria including inspection reports and repair records.
  • Monitor the operational life cycle of all Drilling Mobile Tools to identify when it needs to be scraped and replaced with units.
  • Reduce the number of rental Drilling Mobile Tools currently on lease to the AGT operations and have it replaced by client owned equipment.
  • Introduce a standard document for the interfielding, mobilisation of drill pipe, HWDP, collars etc. within the business unit.

Required Experience
  • Minimum 15-20 years' experience in Drilling or Wells operations.
  • A minimum of >5 years rig site experience and onshore leadership experience.
  • Sound technical understanding of development and exploration drilling/well completion, HSE, Field Operation and some understanding of geology, subsea and commercial strategies.
  • Good communication skills across disciplines and with service providers.
  • Have a excellent understanding of Drilling Mobile Tools inspection criteria and frequency
