  • Stakeholder management with specific reference to problem troubleshooting and resolution.
Business Deliverables and Success Criterion:
These can vary in focus depending on placement team but will typically involve:
  • Investigating existing systems and performing current systems analysis.
  • Identification and implementation of process improvements.
  • Working with analysts in E.ON IT to ensure consistency of design and sharing of best practice and compliance with appropriate standards for analysis and design work.
  • Developing test plans, test specifications and carrying out system, integration and acceptance testing.
  • Working with the technical staff and users to ensure a seamless and effective transition to the technical design and build phase.
  • Working with various IT Support teams to ensure the applications and data architectures conform with the IS strategy and architectural vision.

  • Strong drive and delivery focus, with experience of working to tight deadlines.
  • Good analytical skills, with the ability to identify, understand, articulate and document information / recommendations.
  • Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships.
  • A demonstrable ability to identify and analyse situations by isolating key issues, evaluating relevant data and drawing appropriate conclusions.
  • Knowledge of a range of systems analysis techniques and process and design techniques.
  • An understanding of application test concepts and approaches to testing.
  • Knowledge of Windows, UNIX and Linux operating systems.
  • Intermediate to advanced ability in Common Office tools (e.g. MS Office)
  • Background in application development and deployment techniques.
  • Knowledge of the Prince2/APMP or equivalent project management methodology.
  • Knowledge of ITIL or equivalent service management processes.
  • Theoretical and practical experience of Problem Management.
  • A proven record of key involvement in project delivery.
  • Aware of local, distributed and multi-tiered based systems.
Additional Information
The programme has a duration of 48 weeks.
The role can be located either in Coventry or Nottingham.
Due to the nature of this role a DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) check maybe required.
