Position Summary

This position is responsible for developing and managing supplier strategy for PG&E's Security Department Security that spans Cybersecurity, Corporate, IT Compliance, Risk and Policy. The Contractor Administrator Analyst will be accountable for reporting vendor performance and compliance of suppliers. The Analyst will partner closely with constituents across Security, IT and Sourcing to manage contract lifecycle for suppliers to ensure contract compliance. The Analyst will assess the number of vendors and leverage resell and channel partners where possible. This requires working with Integrated Planning to forecast future contract spend, manage renewals, ensure contract changes are adequately documented and ensure funding is secured in a timely manner. Along with Sourcing, the Analyst will leverage discounts through negotiations and aggregated spend. The Analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining supplier metrics to executive team.


Minimum requirements:
• BA/BS in Computer Science/ Information Systems, Business, Engineering, etc. or equivalent work experience.
• 7 years of job related experience in Information Technology with involvement in business analysis or contract/vendor management or sourcing.
• Participation in projects of high complexity at an expert level or in a leadership role.

Desired Skills:
• Continuous education in IT and business specific areas.
• PG&E Leadership training (or scheduled to take within 6 months).
• Advanced knowledge of multiple corresponding Line of Business-related functional areas.
• Typically has 8+ years of job related experience in Information Technology, which may include or be in addition to 6+ years of experience in business analysis.
• Expert-level knowledge and working experience with multiple corresponding Line of Business-related functional areas.
• Extensive participation in projects of high complexity or simultaneous participation in multiple projects of medium to high complexity in a leading role.
• CCBA certification (or scheduled to obtain it within 6 months).
• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP).
• Expert knowledge of the business requirements process.
• Detail oriented, analytical, good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong understanding of the utility business and multiple
functional areas of the related Lines of Business.
• Working knowledge of MS Office suite of applications, including Excel and Visio.
• Ability to work with different teams across disciplines and levels.
• Ability to promote good working environment with different teams across disciplines and levels.
• Skilled in evaluating technical solutions, and providing resource, time and cost estimates.
• Skilled in evaluating IT processes and ability to suggest
• Ability to create visual representation of Business Processes using swim lane diagrams, business process flows, data flows, functional breakdown structures, etc.
• Good mentoring skills.
• Working knowledge of relational databases, including data querying.
• Working knowledge of UML is highly desired.


Primary Responsibilities:
• Contract life-cycle management for suppliers and vendors across PG&E security.
• Manage Sourcing processes including invoicing, billing, and shopping cart creation
• Lead contract renewals in line with PG&E sourcing practices
• Lead regular supplier performance reviews with supplier relationship and key internal stakeholders.
• Reduce cost and to maximize PG&E benefits
• Establish strong relationships with constituents across IT and other lines of business to ascertain supplier need for security.
• Partner with Integrated Planning on annual and multi-year planning initiatives.

Additional Business Analyst Responsibilities (as needed):
Business Analysis:
• Define and document business requirements for complex projects.
• Act as a key contributor to the business cases for complex IT projects and initiatives.
• Review design and technical specification documents for alignment with business solution.
• Prepare and review test plans and perform quality reviews of test results.
• Comply with SOX and other standard process requirements.
• Communicate IT processes to the business clients. Contribute to IT Methodology.
• May perform various additional activities, such as operation and maintenance support, testing of critical areas of complex applications, etc.
