The Station Manager will maintain care, custody, control and safe operation and maintenance of a power generation facility located in Sutton Bridge, Spalding, UK. O&M Station Managers have responsibility to operate and maintain the plant on behalf of the customer within the boundaries of the O&M contract or Long Term Service Agreement.

Essential Responsibilities

• Participate in discussions about the future of the business requiring frequent and thorough interaction with other functions
• Develop the year plan for of the unit. Present product/program strategies, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leads (EB and SEB) across GE
• Establish and sustain a culture that promotes a safe and positive work environment
• Assure environmental, health and safety and all regulatory requirement compliance
• Ensuring that the Facility remains operationally available within all Environmental Consents and meeting all Legislative and Regulatory obligations
• Oversee the management of all commercial activities at site
• Develop and implement procedures and systems for plant personnel to operate and maintain the plant in a safe, effective and high performing manner
• Prepare customer annual budget and manage plant expenditures appropriately
• Hire, supervise, evaluate and develop an effective workforce, and delegate and monitor work activities for a safe and efficient plant operation
• Understand and execute plant contractual requirements
• Establish and maintain positive customer relationship
• Manage plant to ensure optimal availability, reliability, and budgetary performance
• Manage Customer and GE business metrics and reporting requirements
• Work with ITO/OTR functions to support all GE activities in the region


• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge and experience
• Extensive experience in O&M Station Management
