We look forward to continuing that work as the prime contractor for the JSC Engineering, Technology, and Science (JETS) contract along with our eleven teammate companies to provide engineering, scientific and technical contract services at NASA's Johnson Space Center (Houston, TX). JETS provides products and technical services related to human operations in space through development and integration of a broad spectrum of engineering requirements. This includes human spacecraft flight and flight development products, human exploration mission planning for NASA, institution support services, and new technology development. Our long-term client relationship with NASA has led to a need for a Senior Business Analyst.

The Senior Business Analyst will:
  • Provide budgeting, forecasting, cost estimating support.
  • Monitor cost performance against established plans.
  • Develop and maintain company and customer financial reports.
  • Oversee and develop procedures, work instructions and process flows.
  • Develop ad hoc reports and models to assist in data validation and analysis.
  • Review and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy of reporting.
  • Interface with both internal and external customers as well as regulatory agencies.
  • Interpret Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) as they apply to contracts, processes, practices and procedures, and serves as internal consultant and technical resource.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  • BA or BS degree in the appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university, plus nine (9) years of progressive and relevant experience. Additional relevant education may be substituted for progressive experience.
    Requires two (2) years of college with courses in business administration or industrial management, and twelve (12) years of progressively responsible administrative and/or technical support assignments. Additional relevant education may be substituted for progressive experience.
  • Understanding and experience with Government accounting.
  • Proven leadership experience demonstrating the ability to interact and contribute at the senior management level.
  • Accounting system administration and/or management information systems experience.
  • Experience developing process and procedure documentation.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (i.e. database query, pivot tables, and chart development).

  • Four (4) years' experience providing business intelligence and information solutions to senior level management preferred.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting systems (e.g., Deltek, PeopleSoft, JAMIS, Oracle)
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment with strong decision-making capability
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Prior experience in a multi-contract environment.

Essential Functions

Work Environment

Generally an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs (5% of time).

Equipment and Machines

Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).


Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.

Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
