Are you the one to play a key role in making sure our new standard procurement process is deployed across Vestas worldwide? And are you motivated by optimizing and deploying the process in different countries, while handling the exceptions needed in the business in order for it to work? And training your stakeholders? Then Vestas offers a unique position requiring extensive skills within procurement processes, stakeholder management and training.

Global Procurement/OneProcurement
This role reports through Global Procurement, responsible for managing Vestas spend with external suppliers worldwide. As part of the Vestas strategy and transformation of Global Procurement, we need a strong profile to deploy the new standard process for procurement outside Global Procurement.
This role is part of the program OneProcurement set to roll out the standard procurement process and a regional procurement organization region by region in Vestas.

You will be the on-site key person to have the overview of how the standard procurement process is being deployed in each department, where exceptions and additional control mechanisms are needed and to align stakeholders around these.

It will be your responsibility to be the on-site process specialist when we roll out the standard process - region by region - function by function.
You deploy, train in, improve and support the end-to-end processes of this new procurement landscape on-site in close collaboration with the business and in continuous alignment with the Implementation Lead in the program and the Business Process Specialist in Global Procurement.

As the go-to person for the on-site deployment of the standard procurement process your responsibilities will be to:
  • Map the gap between the current process being followed and the standard process
  • Involve stakeholders in closing the gap or agree in exception and additional control mechanisms
  • Support the design, development, delivery and management of communications with stakeholders
  • Drive training programs in the new process
  • Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics for deployment
  • Identify and manage anticipated resistance
  • Identify and manage key stakeholders
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress

As Process Specialist you will act as a supporter and coach for the Implementation Lead and the Business Process Specialist in Global Procurement - helping them fulfill their roles on-site.
Also you will be the go-to person if departments in the region want to deviate from the standard process. For this you need to coach the managers in arguing for and documenting why this is needed and also to come up with possible solutions as close to the standard process as possible.
If exceptions are needed you will be the one supporting the Business Process Specialist in aligning this with i.e. Compliance, Finance etc.

  • You probably have a master level degree in Business Administration, Technology or similar
  • You have an exceptional personal drive and ensure that milestones and deliveries are met on time
  • You have the ability to interpret and analyze business pain points and translate that into improvement solutions
  • You know how to establish and develop successful relations with stakeholders (Externally and Internally)

  • Self-motivated and target driven - proactive and enthusiastic
  • Great interpersonal skills and mindset is required
  • Good communicator and fluent in English - verbally and in writing
  • Good analytical skills and business acumen
  • Relentless in relation to pursuing sustainable results and business impact - whatever it takes!
  • Strong Knowledge of procurement processes is required
  • SAP and/or Ariba skills is advantageous

Additional information
  • Primary work location is the region where we roll out - the first one is Central Europe and four more to follow.
  • Approximately 120 traveling days per year should be expected as we will be on-site for roll out for some months and then go to the next region for mapping and preparing and rolling out.
  • The position is a project hiring that will run till June 2018, but afterwards you will have excellent opportunities to enter into another position in Vestas.
