This is a part-time position that can to lead to a full-time employment on the STARS/Alliant IA Support Team at the Naval Air Weapons Center - Weapons Division (NAWCWD). This position will provide IA technical support to Cybersecurity specialists supporting research, development, test, and operational projects/laboratories across NAWCWD at China Lake, CA. After completing an ISSO Training Program, obtaining at least an interim U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance, successfully securing a CompTIA Security+ certification, and being assigned to position on the IA Support Team the candidate will assist with the following duties and responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining an organizational or system-level cybersecurity program that includes cybersecurity architecture, requirements, objectives and policies, cybersecurity personnel, and cybersecurity processes and procedures.

• Maintaining a repository for all organizational or system-level cybersecurity-related documentation.

• Ensuring that all users have the requisite security clearances and access authorization, and are aware of their cybersecurity responsibilities for DoD Information Systems (IS), platform IT (PIT), IT services, and IT products under their purview before being granted access to those systems.

• Establishing a process for authorized users to report all cybersecurity-related events and potential threats and vulnerabilities to the ISSO.

• Ensuring that all DoD IS cybersecurity-related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals.

• Ensuring proper Configuration Management procedures are followed. Prior to implementation and contingent upon necessary approval with the ISSM.
Ensuring IA and IA-enabled software, hardware and firmware comply with appropriate security configuration guides.High School diploma or equivalent required. Position requires a minimum of two (2) years' experience in a data processing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to prioritize tasks, deliver solutions on time and work independently and on teams. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, track, manage, learn new skills, and communicate orally and in writing is required. A good understanding of Information Technology and Information Assurance (IA)/Cybersecurity is a plus. Attention to detail and superb organization skills are a must for this position. Successful candidate will have great communication skills both oral and in writing. Individual will develop and maintain necessary IT and IA documentation. E xperience with providing IA or IT support to a Navy or USMC client is highly desirable. Previous experience with system administration and/or network operations is a plus. Proficiency with using the Internet and with Microsoft Office products including e-mail, Word, Excel, Access and Project is required. CompTIA Security+ or a higher IA certification will be required within 90 days of employment. U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain an interim and maintain a permanent U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance required.

This position is a Jacobs position and may be assigned to a teammate company (eLe, NDTI) .
