The position & experience required

Our London based Property Team is looking for Project Quantity Surveyor to work on a range of high profile property sector projects across London. These challenging schemes will be delivered for leading commercial and residential developers. Applicants will be expected to have appropriately aligned delivery experience.

The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering and managing service excellence and positive outcomes for our clients; providing leadership and coaching to subordinate surveyors and assistants; capturing and sharing knowledge and driving innovation in service. Successful candidates will be presented with a great opportunity for career progression whilst at the same time being exposed to cross sector experience.

Whilst being a London based role initially, opportunities will, of course, exist to gain international experience as part of a broader career development plan

Key Responsibilities/ Duties:

Provide support to Team Leaders and Service Leaders in the delivery of residential led developments; carry day to day delivery responsibility with minimal supervision.

Lead, coach and develop team members to deliver service excellence.

Deliver all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner.

Utilise and embed best practice tools and processes including the use of technology to support delivery.

Be able to take a brief from a client and assist in the preparation and delivery of fee proposals and presentations.

Capable of taking a Quantity Surveyor assignment through from inception to completion.

Understand and comply with business risk and project delivery parameters including commerciality in respect of agreed scopes of service.

Capture and share knowledge and be involved with the development of service improvement and innovation.

Be a strong team player but demonstrate the ability to take a leadership role as part of personal development planning.

Role Requirements (Skills & Behaviours)

Candidate to be able to demonstrate successful delivery of medium to large projects (f10m to f100m+) in the Residential Sectors.

Competence in management and delivery across the whole capital project life cycle.

Demonstrable understanding of the Client's key objectives within the specified Sector(s).

Ability to build sustainable client relationships as trusted advisor.

Proven track record in ensuring project teams are motivated to achieve and exceed Clients' objectives.

Articulate in written and oral communication.

Excellence in administration of Building Contracts from a cost management perspective.

Strong people management and emerging leadership skills.


Track record to reflect experience working with Developers.

Recognised degree in Building / Quantity Surveying or relevant discipline.

MRICS would be distinctly advantageous
