As the Instrumentation and Controls Design Engineer on the facilities engineering program at our client's semiconductor manufacturing facility, you will have the chance to positively impact the daily operations by providing timely and client-focused engineering and design. Your drawings and construction specifications will be related to manufacturing process equipment and associated safety and automation systems. Working directly with a team of CH2M design and engineering professionals, you'll contribute to the design of semiconductor tool installations, HVAC, process and piping systems, among other facility systems.
Each day, you will:
• Develop I&C drawings, construction specifications, specify instruments and write sequence of operations with guidance from others.
• Provide engineering consulting associated with design of industrial production facilities, cooling and utility plants, semiconductor tool installations, HVAC, Process, and Piping system design related to facility engineering.
• Prepare drawings including P&ID's, panel layouts, loop drawings, and detailed wiring diagrams
• Display competence in AutoCAD drafting. Will be responsible to produce P&IDs, control panel drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Design facility control systems and SCADA projects in a semiconductor facility.
• Provide instrumentation & controls engineering in support of a process manufacturing environment.
• Develop I&C conceptual plan studies and/or project standards, independently or as part of a larger team effort.
• Perform field inspections of existing facilities systems.
• Make independent technical judgment on details.

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
• BS / MS graduate of an engineering discipline (Elec/Chem/Mech) from an accredited engineering program and minimum of 3+ years experience.
• Industrial PLC programming and hardware implementation experience; PLC-Modicon , SCADA iFIX and Fix32.
