The ABB Global Business Services - Information Systems organization (GBS IS) is seeking a high calibre IS Global Leader for ADM Workforce Management. GBS IS is a unique unit working on infrastructure services and software development which supports business processes of ABB across the world. Everyday a team of talented developers, infrastructure experts, project managers, service managers and other specialists works on advanced IT solutions which improve efficiency of our company. ABB is currently developing the IS Application Development and Maintenance (ADM) Organization to consolidate and deliver high quality IS services to ABB business units around the globe and focus more of our attention to innovation and development. We are currently looking for candidates for the position of IS Global Leader for ADM Workforce Management.

The core responsibility of IS Global Leader for ADM Workforce Management (WFM) will be to design and implement a global resource capacity model as well as resource management tools and processes to effectively manage the demand and supply of resources. In this role, you will ensure planning and delivery, globally and locally, of required resource capacity and capability upon forecast from all Project Portfolios within ABB.

As an IS Global Leader for ADM WFM, you will:

• Develop the overall workforce planning strategy across ADM and consult with other functions across Domains to ensure strategic resource planning;
• Ensure required global capacity and capability are matching global IS projects and demand, in time, at the right place and with the skills needed;
• Be accountable for developing and continuously improving Workforce planning and allocation processes;
• Ensure the effectiveness of interactions and relationships between Workforce Managers and the main stakeholders (Domain Delivery Managers, project managers, Center of Expertise (CoE) ERP and Application/platform managers, vendor managers and supply chain IS);
• Collaborate with Vendor Managers and IS Supply Chain in building external resource capabilities to balance workload in organization;
• Collaborate with Business Engagement Managers to understand business demand and evaluate their implications on the project resourcing processes;
• Be managing and stay accountable for overall adherence to the budget;
• Define and set standards for Work Force Management methods and quality assurance as well as ensure compliance with any ABB IS Standards;
• Ensure satisfaction of Work Force Management services by assessing expectations and making sure actions are taken to close any gaps;
• Ensure the effective interactions and relationships between Work Force Managers and main IS and external stakeholders;
• Implement and execute strategic objectives and targets for WFM against which performance can be measured, e.g. effectiveness, efficiency, quality, operational satisfaction levels;
• Ensure (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guide, motivate and develop direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies, for the benefit of both ABB and the employee.

• At least 5-10 years' of line management experience with excellent organizational development and management skills.
• Proven track record of managing a highly experienced virtual team would be an advantage;
• At least 5 years of experience in IS Project management, including Work Force or resource management;
• Knowledge of resource management tools;
• Experience in Vendor Management area;
• Knowledge of HR processes like talent management, talent acquisition, development, performance and appraisal, training and competency development is an advantage;
• Knowledge of Portfolio Planning and Demand Management processes and methods;
• Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with various stakeholders;
• Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate with the team and various stakeholders;
• Ability to drive and implement the organizational changes;
• Strong strategic and results orientation with the relevant customer-focus attitude;
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills;
• Good organization, time management, decision making and influencing skills;
• Flexibility, persistence, accompanied by quality;
• Strong negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills;
