Job description

Job purpose:

Management of Inspection activities in TECHNIP IBERIA.
Job scope:

-Coordinate the right competencies available in the market.
-Manage the Inspection team.
-Issue and/or revise Inspection Tests Plans and Inspection Procedures.
-Issue and/or revise NDT (Non Destructive Tests) procedures.
-Issue and/or revise welding books (welding maps, WPS, PQR & WQR).
-Issue and/or revise ATEX Certificates, CE Certificates, materials certificates (ISO-10204).
-Issue and/or revise final Manufacturing Quality dossier.

Must have:
- Engineering or relevant degree (Industrial, Mechanical, Metallurgical, Thermical or Naval).
- 3-5 years of experience in QA/QC.
- Experience in Welding (EWS, EWT or EWE).
- Experience in NDT: PT, MT, UT and RT-interpretation
- Knowledge in ASME.
- High level of English.
- Leadership skills.

Nice to have:
- Experience in selection of metallic materials for Pressure Vessels, piping or Structures
- Other foreign languages (French).

Main accountabilities:
• Implements Project Execution Proposal.
• Defines the pertinent area for each supply involving inspection activities and the selection of Inspectors.
• Directs the Inspectors to carry out inspections for those supplies followed directly by Company Office.
• Is responsible for the selection, coordination and supervision of inspection agencies for activities to be performed on behalf of the Company and for evaluating their performances.
• Is responsible for the coordination and control of the activities of local offices as well as for providing them with documents and tools to perform their activities.
• Approves man-hour costs and planning of the resources of his section.
• Check and approves the issuing of any procedures relevant to shop inspection activities.
• Ensures the professional training of his section's resources, above all HSE.
• Checks and approves all documents/report issued by the section as per approval course.
• He/She is responsible for issuing and updating all documents relevant to the planning of the section and of external resources (Inspectors of independent agencies) with a view to Company workload.
• Is responsible for estimating inspection activity costs and man-hours for proposal purposes.
• Project duties and responsibilities:
• Examines with the project Inspection coordinator and with the project groups the nature of each order to establish case-by-case the kind and extent of inspection activities to be carried out.
• Is responsible for verification and approval of the ITP, prepared by engineer, for each material requisition.
• Is responsible for check and approval of all inspection reports, non conformity reports and inspection release certificates issued by the inspectors.
• Points out to the Procurement Department Manager any elements contained in the reports which may jeopardize the result of the supply.
• Controls and approves the issuing of the "Advance/Man-hours" control document.
• Is responsible for the preparation of any particular Inspection form and/or technical specification necessary for a project, as well as for the selection of any third-party inspection authority to be involved in company inspection activities.
