Position Description:
Saudi Aramco offers experienced engineers the opportunity to develop and manage world-class fields, reservoirs and reserves. We are looking for experienced professionals to join us at our state-of-the-art Exploration and Petroleum Engineering Center in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia to manage some of the world's largest portfolio of on-shore and off-shore oil and gas fields.

Our petroleum engineers conduct pioneering studies, introduce new technologies and provide specialized engineering services as part of our customized reservoir management practices.

This senior technical role oversees all aspects of project management for new artificial lift projects from contracting to final commissioning. Responsibilities include evaluating design data, reviewing final designs to ensure that production requirements will be met and ensuring drilling and tie-in requirements are achieved.

This position is embedded within the Upstream Technical Support Division and as a senior technical specialist, will engage with leaders and experts from across the upstream business.
Minimum Requirements:
The successful candidate should hold a bachelor degree in petroleum engineering or related discipline. MSc or PhD. is desirable, but not required.

Must have minimum of 10 years of related experience including at least 7 years specializing in artificial lift with emphasis on Electric Submersible Pumping.

A training history of appropriate specialized courses and seminars is expected.

Technical publications are valued but in-depth practical experience is paramount.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be expected to be able to perform the following:

Provide expert advice and assistance on the design, installation and efficient operation of artificial lift systems in Saudi Aramco's onshore and offshore fields.

Manage artificial lift projects from conception through contracting, project management and through to final commissioning.

Represent Saudi Aramco in external technical contacts with consultants, manufacturers, vendors, etc.

Evaluate new technology and best practices.

Propose and evaluate new trial tests for artificial lift equipment to optimize performance and reduce overall cost, participate in technical societies and technical groups, and conduct seminars.

Train and mentor young engineers.
