Position Description:
The Controller's organization is seeking an Technical Accounting Translation Specialist to join the organization.

Responsibilities involve supporting financial and income tax reporting for Management and for the Saudi Arabian Government. Specifically, tasks include: producing the Company's consolidated financial statements, subsidiaries' financial statements and other management reports and maintaining the Company's General Ledger, Fixed Asset records and supporting documents, monitoring payments and calculating withholding taxes related to non-resident vendors. Controller's also provides accounting and advisory services related to Saudi Aramco's interests.

The Accounting Translator primary role is to provide technical accounting and finance translation support for Saudi Aramco, its Subsidiaries, Joint Ventures and the Saudi Aramco Board of Directors. The primary focus will be translating Accounting and Finance documents into Arabic and English as well as creating financial documents in Arabic that are to be used internally or circulated to an external organization.
Minimum Requirements:
As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Additionally, translation expertise either from a degreed program or certification from a recognized and approved program is required. As well as any relevant advanced professional competencies evidenced by professional certifications such as a CPA, CA, ACCA, or CMA. Accounting focused professional licenses and/or other forms of continuing professional education is required.

A minimum of 12 years of experience in translation, accounting, finance or auditing is required, including at least 5 in Accounting translation.

Extensive knowledge of accounting policies and procedures established pursuant to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is required as well as a strong understanding of the content of financial statements prepared within the IFRS framework.
The candidate shall also have:

Excellent written and oral communications skills
Demonstrate thorough understanding and use of financial discussions, charts, documents and terminologies that would be expected in this role
Be fluent in Arabic at a finance technical level (should be 1st language) with an excellent working business knowledge of English is a requirement
Thorough understanding of IFRS/IAS accounting rules and guidelines is also necessary
Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office software is preferred
Duties & Responsibilities:
The candidate will be required to perform the following:

- Translate and review financial documents (i.e. Board materials, Annual Financial Reports, Tax Declarations) and spoken statements from one language to another (Arabic / English).
- Interpret accounting, financial and legal terminology in Arabic and in English.
- Edit and proofread translated financial data, text and other documents to accurately reflect the Arabic or English language.
- Create new documentation in (Arabic / English) that reproduces the content and style of the original document (English / Arabic).
- Coordinate projects and participate in projects other than translation as required.
- Prepare timely reports for corporate and executive management.
