The Eastern Area Exploration Department is seeking a top Geophysicist - Prospect Generator with strong seismic stratigraphy and attribute analysis experience to join their world class team.

The successful applicant will work within a multi-disciplinary team, and have the ability to develop strong leads, generate prospects, and mature these prospects. Suitable applicants will have advanced Seismic interpretation abilities, and Clastic and/or Carbonate seismic stratigraphy skills. Other requirements include strong ability in generation and use of seismic attribute analysis for lithology, porosity and fluid type prediction. You will have experience of visualization and integration of various G&G datasets, and Chrono stratigraphy, and knowledge of in depth conversion, and generation of multiple scenarios based on sound velocity models. Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Minimum Requirements:
As a successful candidate you will have a BS Degree in Geology or Geophysics with emphasis on carbonate or clastic seismic stratigraphy and attribute analysis. A Masters Degree is preferred.

You will have 10 years' experience in exploring for hydrocarbon in clastic or carbonate environments with strong seismic stratigraphy and attribute analysis experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You are required to perform advanced sequence and stratigraphic analysis using G&G applications, and possess a detailed understanding of Rock physics, Rock typing, and Petro physics in carbonate environments. You will conduct advanced seismic attribute analysis, and have a proven track record in working on large well and seismic datasets. Other aspects of the role will require experience of sequence stratigraphic well correlation, sedimentary facies prediction, and expertise in seismic sequence stratigraphy. The incumbent will be accustomed to interfacing with multiple levels including subordinates, peers, supervisors, and venture partners. Candidates must be fluent in English, and highly adaptable.
