Role synopsis
The GSST Asia PMO Analyst role is responsible for ensuring strict adherence to the GSST Transformation Programme Office (TPO) project management governance and standards by all projects in GBS Asia. This position will be responsible for working with various stakeholders both locally and globally to manage the opportunities, implement a systemic approach to manage an integrated portfolio management and reporting of projects both at GBS Asia level and global level, including prioritisation and assignment of opportunities, projects and quantification of benefits, to ensure that the business maximizes value from project investments and project implementations are completed within agreed timelines. This role will be a key interface into the GSST TPO to ensure reporting requirements are met accurately and in a timely manner. In addition, this role will also provide project management and support to project delivery managers on key projects and this role is expected to be able to manage some projects from end-to-end independently.

Key accountabilities
Project Governance & Standards
  • Support the management and implementation of PMO methodology, GBS project management governance and standards, as well as ensuring adherence of these standards across all projects in GBS Asia.
  • Act as a reference point for PMO queries and information and an advocate for standards, tools, and best practices in project management.
  • Provide necessary guidance and training to internal stakeholders on project management standards, tools and best practices.
  • Provide quality assurance and delivery assurance for service transformation project delivery and support including maintaining processes to ensure project management documentation, reports and plans are relevant, accurate and complete.
  • Share lessons learned and best practices across programs, building relationships with stakeholders and brokering relationships at all levels

Project Portfolio Management & Reporting
  • Track and report on project portfolio performance (e.g. transformations, transition projects, global/local projects), providing a real-time, comprehensive, and prioritized view of all projects using GBS project reporting standard and methodology.
  • Coordinate with GBS Global Program Office on global/regional project portfolio level reporting.
  • Monitor project-level risk and issues and work with project leadership to develop risk mitigation plans.
  • Facilitate project management activities which include project prioritisation, resource management and project costs, risks, and issues discussions.
  • Continuously review the reporting process and tools, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement these as required

Project Management & Support
  • Support Project Delivery Managers in project delivery activities including but not limited to project planning, requirements & gap analysis, coordinating activities, resources, information within projects, identifying and mitigating project related risk, and project reporting and tracking.
For projects/change initiatives of low to moderate complexity, lead and manage them from end-to-end independently and deliver the expected results and benefits.

Essential Education
• Bachelor's degree in business or related field.

Essential experience and job requirements
• Minimum 6 - 8 years of project management or PMO role.
• Solid understanding of the principles and frameworks of successful project management.
• Proven hands-on experience in end-to-end project delivery, portfolio management and reporting, PMO, within a fast-paced business environment.
• Proven experience in providing service to internal stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes
• Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness
• Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills with ability to conduct presentations comfortably to large groups and stakeholders from all levels.
• Strong relationship building/stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
• Strong Analytical skill and attention to details.
• Experienced user of project management tool (MS Project), business process modelling tool (MS Visio) and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Desirable criteria & qualifications
• PMP Certification
• Strong experience in business process modelling and mapping.
• Advanced user of MS Excel - i.e. pivots, macros, etc
• Experience in transition projects in a global environment.
