This is your chance to an exciting and challenging role with varying assignments, large networks and great development opportunities. As Calculation and Simulation Engineer, you will join a highly experienced and skilled team and operate at the center of events. Working with our local site as well as global organization will provide you with a great foundation for future work within and outside our department.

You will be part of Technical Lead Center for Live Tank Breakers - a department of 30 colleagues technically supporting all LTB sites within ABB. Your main mission will be to forecast the breaking performance of high voltage breakers as well as manage various multiphysics simulations and calculations within:
• Power grids
• Mechanical strength
• Gas flows and pressurized constructions
• Earthquakes and equivalent loads
• Dynamic and static mechanical simulations

To thrive in this position, you need to be innovative and creative. Not to mention analytical and accurate. Equally important is your communication skills and your ability to easily grasp new areas. This position also puts high demands on your technical knowledge, your ability to analyze results and grasp the bigger picture.

As a foundation, you hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, with specialization in Technical Physics, Mechanics, Calculations or equivalent. Experience from similar positions or industries, as well as knowledge of calculations and simulations are required. Skills in 3D simulation of electrical fields or mechanical systems as well as related evaluations, are highly valued. A familiarity with high voltage equipment and knowledge of ACE, ADAMS or equivalent programs are also qualifying. Fluency in English and Swedish is a must, whereas additional languages will be to your advantage.
