• Testing the product within the test schedule and finding defects early;
• Understanding the release criteria and following up with development team to ensure all defects that affect customer are fixed before product release;
• Document defects found during testing using defect tracking tool with adequate steps to reproduce;
• Estimate the time required to test new functionality and to verify defects;
• Work closely with the development team both locally and remotely;
• Work closely with development to understand the product and new requirements planned for the release;
• Attend and provide feedback during design reviews on usability, testability, and potential defects in the design;
• Write and execute effective test scenarios to evaluate the quality of new development;
• Report daily progress to the test lead;
• Perform regression and system testing of the product;
• Provide traceability between test cases and requirements;
• Assess risk related to product quality and work with the test lead;
• Contribute to training manuals or instructions for end users;
• Research and remain informed of new technology and testing tools;
• Evaluate defect escapes and provide corrective action to improve testing;
• Install and Configure test environments and prepare test bed.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and testing skills;
• Strong written and oral communication skills;
• Strong documentation skills with great attention to detail;
• Ability to effectively balance multiple tasks;
• Must thrive in a fast-paced, time-compressed and dynamic environment;
• Good knowledge of testing concepts and how to apply them, including positive testing, negative testing, and boundary testing;
• Proven ability to learn new products and domains quickly;
• Experience with Waterfall and Agile testing methodologies;
• Experience with exploratory testing strategies;
• Ability to work across geographies with distributed teams;
• Experience with performance testing for products;
• Experience in test automation.
