As a member of the CH2M Technical Training and Procedures (TTAP) project team, the successful candidate will use instructional design skills to prepare storyboards and knowledge check questions from technical content gathered by the project Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).

  • Advising SMEs and the project managers of arrangement of technical content to achieve the best possible learning outcomes
  • Checking content and providing feedback on appropriateness for the intended audience (lexile scale check & others)
  • Creation of storyboard document for each eLearning module, intended for both client review and communicating intended design to developers
  • Creation and/or collaboration with SMEs to create knowledge check questions
  • Demonstrating initiative to resolve gaps in content or knowledge check questions
  • Detail-oriented quality assurance of storyboard document and developed modules
  • Providing feedback on existing curricula and course designs, working with team to develop new curricula and course designs
  • Providing guidance to developers on technical aspects of course design, experienced in use of Articulate Storyline and Presenter
  • Detail-oriented use and quality assurance of client comments logs
  • Liaising with IT for delivery of source files
  • Demonstrating initiative to provide feedback and suggestions for features that could enhance existing training materials
  • Aligning learning with established competency model and project development plan.
  • Collaboration with project managers, team members and subject matter experts.
  • Implementing CH2M TTAP project standard development tool set to develop and deliver learning/performance support content.
  • Facilitation of groups of SMEs through specific module curriculum development, such as pin-point facilitation method to apply ADDIE theory, is desirable.
Personal skills required include:
  • Use of consultative skills to effectively communicate education theory and context to internal and external clients
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage content experts and translate concepts into terms appropriate for the target audience
  • Working within established project scope, schedule and budget
  • Knowledge of content management, information objects, templates, office software, Articulate Storyline and Presenter, PowerPoint and learning management systems
  • Ability to work in a corporate environment with an ability to understand workflow process and user-centered solutions within an established project development plan framework
  • Flexibility to adapt to client and project requirements is essential
  • May perform other duties as assigned and requested by project managers

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
  • Highly motivated individual with strong consulting skills, interpersonal, writing, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability and commitment to work within a large project team on a multi-year project
  • Demonstrated technical acumen.
  • Excellent computer skills including SharePoint Administration, Microsoft, Articulate and Adobe tool sets/products.
  • Experience working in a large engineering firm on multi-year projects and/or working for municipal water/wastewater clients is beneficial.
  • BS degree or equivalent experience.
  • Certificate in Instructional Design
  • 7 to 12 years' experience preferred
