Successful candidates will launch, manage and execute one of the following aero-derivative gas turbine engine component repair industrialization program within the GE Power Services network.

• Cases/ Frames
• Life Limited Parts
In addition, they will;

• Help identify the full scope of component repair projects to be industrialized.
• Coordinate the specific repair development activities for the industrialization of repairs with the global Power Services Repair Development Centers.
• Frequently visit potential component repair shops and evaluate for their technical and process capabilities to perform related component repairs.
• Lead the process of shop layout, equipment and tooling procurement/design for performing related component repairs.
• Manage process of converting Industrial Repair Manual (IRM) requirements into functional shop processes/plans.
• Provide technical leadership in obtaining and training operators in performing the various related component repair processes.
• Coordinate with Power Services Aero Product Support Engineering team and drive the Repair Source Substantiation (RSS) and approval activities in the shop.


• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering with a solid experience in gas turbine engine component design and/or manufacturing/ repair processes.
• Strong technical background in either one or more of repair/manufacturing technology disciplines;
o Thermal Spray Coatings
o Conventional/ Non-Conventional Machining
o NDE Processes
o Joining
o Tooling Design
o Chemical Coatings & Processes
o Metal Cold Forming and finishing
• Strong oral and written communication skills, English
• Able to effectively interface with all levels of internal and external customers
• Effective team building, influencing and problem solving abilities
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and lead change
• Willingness and ability to travel 25% of the time

Desired Characteristics

• Repair experience on turbomachinery/ gas turbines /aviation engines
• Working understanding of the materials, coatings, processes and procedures utilized to repair turbine engine components
• Previous experience with Aero-derivative / Aviation gas turbines
• Experience working with repair centers and qualifying / substantiating repair sources
• Hands-on manufacturing or repair shop experience
• Understand operational characteristics and failure modes of gas turbine components
• Commercial understanding of economic tradeoffs associated with repair capabilities
• Shop layout and process flow optimization.
• Working knowledge of blueprint tolerances and required fit-ups / run-outs with mating hardware.
• Experience working in a global environment with multicultural teams
