CH2M is currently seeking a Program Controls Lead in Anchorage, Alaska.

In this role, you will work on-site at the Port of Anchorage Project Office integrated with the Program Management team, our sub-consultant and our client. The position will be responsible for planning, scheduling and program cost supported by a junior project controls specialist. Our successful candidate will work independently within a small program team to lead the project controls effort.
In this role your primary responsibilities will be:
Planning and Scheduling
• Apply practical field experience with planning/scheduling knowledge to develop and maintain a multi-phase multi-project resource-loaded schedule in P6.
• Work with team members of varying levels of experience to develop, maintain, explain and progress the program schedule.
• Develop what-if scenarios as funding and priorities change
• Work with the team to develop mitigation plans for the program schedule.
• Identify and report on the Critical Path
• Coordinate and track changes to ensure they are incorporated appropriately
• Review and advise on all schedules submitted by all contractors
• Obtain accurate progress monthly from both the internal team and external contractors
Cost Reporting
• Develop and maintain a cost reporting system clearly communicating the program cost status to team members of varying levels of experience
• Establish and maintain a work process that identifies and quantifies project cost trends. Take direct action to either include trends in the forecast or develop a mitigation program with the project or management team.
• Work with external contractors to receive incurred cost on a monthly basis
• Maintain cash flow projection of financial needs
• Review and advise client on cost estimates and invoicing by consultants and contractors.
• Work with the program management consultant team, designers of record contractors, construction contractors to provide effective project controls.
o Supervise and mentor a project controls junior staff in project controls fundamentals, procedures and guidelines.

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, project
management, or related technical field. Experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience.
• Must be able to effectively communicate complex project controls information to varied audiences.
• Must assertively work with external contractors to obtain cost and schedule updates.
• Must be able to define and prepare accurate and meaningful project status reports. 
• Experience with Primavera
• Strong Excel experience

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
• Active membership in AACE, PMI, or similar association. CCE/CCC certification a plus.
• Cost control software experience
