We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team working on a highly visible multi-generation ERP implementation project in support of business transformation of GE Power and the integration of Alstom. The ERP Delivery Architect - SAP Finance and Accounting Solution Delivery will be responsible for driving ERP technical design for the relevant modules. In this role you will integrate and digitize processes that meet business needs across the organization.

Essential Responsibilities

The SAP Delivery Architect - Finance and Controlling will:
  • Be responsible for technical solution design of the SAP systems in the given domain / area.
  • Drive a global solution design aligned with multiple line of businesses, multiple SAP modules as well as additional standards required by other third party application teams.
  • Highly experienced in all aspects of SAP Blueprint and Realization; including technical design, configuration, WRICEF program development and comprehensive testing for the following SAP R/3 modules and Applications: Finance and Controlling.
  • Serve as an ERP technical architect for the Finance and Controlling functional areas.
  • Have the ability to understand business requirements & requisite processes to enable translation to software requirements, as well as to demonstrate & influence business partners to leverage industry standard processes & out-of-the-box configuration capabilities in SAP (and necessary bolt-on's) to satisfy business needs.
  • Validate solutions proposed or built by others and apply as appropriate.
  • Adopt a specific focus on business transformation and reduction of non-standard solutions.
  • Assist in driving the strategy for the deployment of the FICO modules incorporating future thinking to simplify the ERP footprint.
  • Good understanding of existing and emerging technologies in SAP and non-SAP space in the areas of Web Development, Cloud, In-memory Databases, Integration, Infrastructure and Security.
  • Lead and coordinate the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction across the product portfolio or product line.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
  • A minimum of 12 years of technical experience along with established leadership credentials across disciplines and functions within a product OR Master's degree with 8 years of experience OR PhD with 5 years of experience
  • Ability and willingness to travel 35% of the time, as required

  • Reviews exceptions and makes recommendations to architectural standards at a domain level.
  • Sound knowledge of integrated ERP solutions encompassing wing-to-wing flows & respective PS, accounting and financial requirements including, but not restricted to services, resource related billing, revenue recognition, management and project accounting business areas.
  • Partner with Global PMO, Solution Architecture, IT vendor and system integration teams to provide solutions for the PG Global SAP Program.
  • Work as a business partner with SME's, process leaders and end users to evaluate, improve business processes and arrive at optimal ERP technical solutions.
  • Develop peer, cross-functional and cross-GE business relationships to maximize best practice sharing and effectiveness to optimize ERP design.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of business' structure (P&Ls) and the interplay of functions to support business goals; demonstrate knowledge of the business products, key processes, suppliers, customers and market/competitors.
  • Develops, motivates and directs staff to create a team environment.
  • Recommends expenditures based on the size, scope, and cost of hardware and software components. Assists in developing business cases.
  • Collaborates with project management on reporting project status, issues, risks and benefits. Meets with project leaders and software development Leaders to ensure progress towards architectural alignment with project goals and requirements.
  • Ensures understanding of issues and presents clear rationale.
  • Applies values, business strategy, policies, precedent, and experience to make complex decisions with uncertain consequences.
  • Challenges conventional thinking and traditional ways of operating and invites stakeholders to identify issues and opportunities.
  • Takes a systems perspective that inter-relates internal and external factors for planning. Envisions compares and contrasts multiple potential medium range operational futures.
