Jacobs, Zamel and Turbag Consulting Engineers (Jacobs ZATE) is the principal operating company of our global Jacobs organization in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is a multi-discipline professional engineering and project management services provider to local projects with over 1,800 resources in our home offices and in the field across Saudi Arabia covering Downstream, Upstream, Petrochemicals and Buildings and Infrastructure projects. We also have large presence across the Middle East covering Bahrain, Qatar, UAE and Oman in addition to Saudi Arabia. The total regional strength is in excess of 2,500 resources.

Position Summary

Responsibilities will include the day to day running of the Upstream Piping Section,

participate in bid/tender preparation, management and recruitment of resources,

responsible for creating/updating corporate Piping systems, procedures and

documentation, preparation of project manhour budgets, preparing and managing of

the department annual budget, deputise for the Engineering Manager when required

  • Department Manager or Section Leader on a large team.
  • Accomplishes results through engineering employees within one discipline
  • Work is reviewed in terms of meeting the organization's objectives and schedules
  • Responsible for all projects assigned to unit
  • Frequently in contact with equivalent level managers concerning projects, operational decisions or scheduling requirements
  • Evaluates the desired goal of the system and develops, designs, or selects the required equipment, power controls, piping, structures and earthwork to achieve the goal
  • Performs routine aspects of engineering requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles under close supervision
  • Performs calculations and evaluations in the design of equipment and systems for industrial and commercial applications
  • Participates in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects
  • Directs activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements
  • Maintains effective communication with project team members and with the customer
  • May direct and coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations
  • May use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks

• Bachelor's of Engineering in a relevant engineering discipline is required
• 15-20+ years experience required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Applications is required
• International experience would be beneficial
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks as scheduled is required
• Good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment is required
• SP3D Knowledge is required
• Previous large team management experience
