I am recruiting for a Senior Electronics Engineer in Germany on a staff basis. My client provide scientific instruments for numerous industries (oil and gas, chemicals, marine, pharmaceutical) and are going through growth.

The Senior Electronics Engineer performs a variety of engineering work in designing, planning and testing of company-produced systems. May assist with customer and in-house training and project coordination.   

Responsibilities: Electronic design, development and testing; Communicate with customers, third-party project representatives, and other company departments to meet assigned project requirements and schedule; Develop test procedures and conduct system tests; Assist in the development of design and testing strategies and requirements; Develop specifications for third-party equipment and instrumentation. Review, develop, and prepare project documentation following standards, practices, and use of engineering tools as recommended by governing department. Coordinate assigned project work with technical and administrative personnel. Travel to customer site (international or office for project meetings, site surveys, startups and training. Follow all company safety policies and procedures and organizes work areas for efficiency and safety. Provides status reports to management as required.Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required.

Education & Experience:  Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering (B.S.E.) from four-year college or university; 8+ years of working experience in in electronics control systems engineering or related field, required; Three years’ experience in new product development electronic engineering or related field, strongly preferred. MSc. in Electronic Engineering or Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering, is a plus

Working knowledge of electronic design software ORCAD; Experience in PCB design; Knowledge of Office software; Fluent in English, ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, reports and documents.

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to customers, management and co-workers.

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlations techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis.

Ability to perform engineering calculations using mathematical and software tool; Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
