Job Description
R&D on core ultrasound technologies for medical imaging and diagnosis.  The position will report to the Imaging Systems and Innovations manager in Engineering.

- Learn workflow, assist in identifying unmet user needs and customer specifications through interactions with users, customer visits, internal and external clinical evaluations and advisory board interactions
- Track relevant technology trends in and outside of the medical ultrasound field
- Assist in definition and design of novel ultrasound imaging technologies that enhance diagnostic confidence, increase workflow and reduce cost of healthcare,
- Assist in planning and contribute to the implementation and integration of imaging technologies   
- Productize them through quantitative verification, clinical investigation and optimization
- Generate intellectual property

- BS in EE, ME, Biomedical Engineering or Physics with 5 years or more experience in medical imaging or related field;
- Strong analytical skills
- Agility, thoroughness and independence in technical investigations
- Ability to model, simulate, test, analyze  and optimize novel image formation and image processing techniques
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to rapidly prototype new ideas.
- Excellent programing skills in Matlab/C++/C#/Python

- Patents with principal inventorship
- Knowledge of medical ultrasound imaging, wave propagation, image formation, image processing, signal processing, linear and nonlinear acoustics
- Knowledge of principles of B-Mode, Color Doppler, Spectral Doppler and contrast agent imaging modes
- Knowledge of clinical applications (Cardiology, General Imaging), customers' needs, ability to conduct internal and external clinical evaluations and communicate with clinical specialists
- Experience or working  knowledge of ICE for interventional cardiology / structural heart  field
