The objective of the role is to be the representative of the GPS Sales force and the local point of contact for all the local players in the power sector (governmental, private, pure power or power for Industry/O&G), coordinating the developments and highlighting the opportunities to be brought to the Sales team. He will guide, participate and implement GPS's Iran re-entry strategy in a manner that complies with US and all applicable laws.

Essential Responsibilities

• Develop detailed market analysis, identifying market needs, channels and stakeholders in the power sector
• Actively monitor competition's activity by leveraging in house knowledge, external contacts and other sources of competitor intelligence to keep GPS up to speed with the competition moves on the ground and develop strategy to counter competition's positioning and develop clear recommendations for GPS's growth.
• Liaise, organize and participate to all meetings in connection with the opportunities identified, ensure a regular follow up with the customer
• Direct reporting to the GM GPS Sales for Iran
• Timely Pulling in of the Sales team and Leadership for discussions and meetings with the key stakeholders
• Determining the details of financing process for projects success from a local point of view and identify the keys milestones and local levers needed , as well as the requirements/needs from the GE financing team and international financing community to reach closure
• Identify key events in IRAN in relation to the power sector to involve the appropriate teams in such events and assist in their preparation


• Strong technical and commercial background in Power with experience in sales and/or marketing.
• In-depth knowledge of/experience with the Iranian Power market and its main stakeholders.
• Bachelor's/Master's Engineering degree (ideally technical) with minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Ability to perform well in highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment
• Excellent technical and analytical skills
• Deep strategy, business development , Sales and marketing acumen
• Ability to synthesize complex issues and communicate into simple messages
• Proven ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
• Legally permitted to permanently reside and work in Iran.
• Fluent in English and Farsi

• 5+ years of experience working in the energy industry
• Expereince in working with large Multinational companies
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with an emphasis on translating insights, information, and data into business strategies
• Knowledge of the energy industry landscape and trends
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously with appropriate sense of urgency
