The GE Distributed Power, Houston Service Center provides repair and overhaul services of Aeroderivative gas turbine engines and modules. The Operations Cell Leader - Gate 1 will be responsible for leading a team of Operations Leaders and Technicians in the successful execution of engine repairs and overhaul activities.

Essential Responsibilities

You will lead and develop a team of Operations Leaders and hourly shop operations employees in the execution of the repair and overhaul activities in the Houston Service Center as they pertain to the assigned area of responsibility.
In addition, you will:

  • Manage and plan resource allocation to meet production schedule targets
  • Establish and maintain communication tools to ensure team understands schedule targets and progress
  • Establish and maintain tools and processes to improve cycle times for engine overhaul processes
  • Partner with peer leaders in driving a strong site culture in Quality and Safety
  • Hold entire team accountable and self to GE Compliance and Integrity standards
  • Contribute input and status updates for shift turnover
  • Develop a strong partnership with the HSC Cost Leader in building a solid continuous improvement project deck for the assigned work areas and processes; drive continuous cost-out initiatives
  • Hold self and team accountable to GE EHS culture, driving a safe work place and environment


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in shop operations
