Do you have experience with resource planning with IT in an international environment, with many different stakeholders? Can you diversify the resource planning on both long and short term, mitigating resource conflicts? Do you have extensive experience in support and guidance of business IT partners, project managers and owners in respects to the entire resource planning? Can you optimize the internal and external resource planning in cooperation with different vendors? Global IT is responsible for IT within Vestas Wind Systems A/S, and with reference to the Group CFO, Global IT covers all areas from IT strategy, business engagement and requirements capturing to project implementations, infrastructure operations, service integration between vendors, and end user support. The function is a central and important part of Global IT. Reporting to the Head of IT Portfolio & Project Office you will be responsible for Resource Management in collaboration with IT Offering Owners and Business IT Partners in each of the four verticals in Global IT. The verticals are responsible for delivering our projects and offerings to the Vestas business.

The overall responsibilities of your area will be to:
  • Deliver profound resource and capacity planning in cooperation with IT Offering Owners, Business IT Partners, Project Managers, and business stakeholders.
  • Create and consolidate resource and capacity plans across IT verticals and ensure transparency on resource dependencies and constraints.
  • Provide strategic planning analysis concerning staffing needs on a short-, medium-, and long-term basis, depending on projects and projections provided by Demand Management.
  • Ensure the creation of a portfolio with a resource mix that optimizes the business benefits.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources and capacity across the project / programme / business change execution life cycle and ensure that resource conflicts are mitigated and resolved.
  • Support Business IT Partners, Lead Architects and Project Managers in delivering quantified and scheduled demands for resources.
  • Continually optimize collaboration with external vendors and ensure that required capacity and skills are planned and agreed with sourcing partners.
  • Train and support Business IT Partners and their teams in using the resource management tools, ensure data quality in the systems, and optimize Capacity and Resource Management processes.
  • In collaboration with Portfolio Manager prepare and conduct internal Portfolio Board meetings and Capacity Forum meetings with external vendors.

Qualifications and work experience:
  • 5 years in the area of resource management / project management / PMO.
  • Deep understanding of the Resource Management discipline.
  • Experience from international organizations and with sourced environments.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • English language at negotiation level - oral and written.
  • Academic degree within Economics & Business Administration, Computer Science or similar.
