Position Summary

    • Post order monitoring of Purchase Orders / Contracts for projects executed by Company / POs placed by LSTK Contractors (in PMC type jobs) till delivery of supplies and services to destination
    • Follow up and obtain first set of supplier documents and Final documents

    • Co-ordinate activities pertaining to Traffic, Customs, Imports / Exports, etc. as required.

    • Coordinate with inspection coordinator for arranging timely stage & final inspection visits to supplier

    • Request for additional Field Expediting visits (decides critical / non-critical items, decide level and type of expediting, etc.)

    • Adherence to Department / Discipline working instructions and QMS Manual

    • Overview of work progress and work-hour usage

    • Decide on Field Expediting requirements for optimum utilization of resources

    • Working within company budgets

    • Follow up Supplier and get the supplies as per PO delivery dates

    • Any other reasonable activity as directed from time to time by the Discipline Head

    • Monitor issue of Material Status Report (MSR) periodically as per Clients requirements with the Expediting Comments

    1. Documentation

    Ensures that the discipline working instructions, procedures, specifications and methods are followed to comply with the latest requirements and the current issue of the company procedures

    1. Measurement and Performance

    Improve the productivity by means of reduction of rework and errors.

    1. Client Liaison

    Ensure all staff informs project manager of any client requests.

    Meet client expectations and maintain long-term relationship with client. Attend to client's feedback and any complaints.

    1. Technical Participation

    Ensure all documentation within the scope of his responsibility is prepared, checked, reviewed and approved and completed in time in accordance with the discipline Working Instructions and Project Quality plan.

    Assist in review of vendor's documentation in critical areas for acceptability or otherwise and take necessary actions as required.

    Carry out expediting of critical equipment / item as per relevant approved documents (like Purchase Orders, Final Vendor Drawings, etc.) to ensure that equipment / item discussed is in line with delivery indicated.

    Mitigation of problems so as to prepare remedial action plan / catch up plan wherever delays have occurred to reduce delays / bring back to original schedule.

    1. Special Responsibilities

    Review client's requirements and ensure that agreement is reached with the concerned. Participate in discussions with the client, as necessary.

    Monitor that work and progress are in compliance with the project requirements and schedule.

    Maintain contact with other disciplines / groups to ensure:

    1. Project Manager and / or Engineer are aware of problems of progress delays
    2. Proper interchange of information
    3. Proper interchange of documents

    Ensure that site problems and over, shortage and damage reports are dealt with effectively and expeditiously.

    Attend Progress Management Review Meetings.

    1. Miscellaneous

    In addition, carry out such tasks from time to time as directed by Executive Director - Procurement & Discipline Head commensurate with the work expected of this position.

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering.

  • Minimum of 8 years for Degree / Diploma Holders / 10 years for Graduate in Science / Commerce / 15 years for others in the field of design / expediting / contracting
  • Knowledge and qualification (PGDM / MMS) in Materials Management will be an added qualification.
  • Certified ISO Internal Auditor will also be an added qualification
