Junior Electrical Engineer
Salary: £27,270 - £37,877
Location: Coventry or Nottingham

Right now, we're looking for a talented, motivated electrical engineer to join our electrical design team. One of your core responsibilities here will be to prepare technical electrical designs, including specifications and 2D/3D drawings. You'll also provide life cycle technical support for electrical assets, right through from construction and operation to decommissioning.
Another crucial part of the role is engaging with stakeholders both inside and outside Community Energy, including external project team contractors, clients and DNOs. You'll also play a key part in Community Energy project management, including scheduling and the project risk register.
Finally, you'll play a vital part in improving electrical safety too, ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety and CDM regulations, as well as codes of practice and British Standards. You'll also play an active role in safety processes such as HAZID and HAZOP.

Essential Skill Requirements:
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven experience of construction design, management regulations, auditing and design.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of UK electrical regulations and standards, including BS 7671.
  • An understanding of LV Design and Autodesk Revit.  
Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of HV (11 - 20kV) Design.
  • An understanding of fire detection and alarm systems.
  • Experience of communications systems.
  • Experience with Amtech Pro Design.
  • Working towards Chartered Engineer status with IET or CIBSE.
  • Making sure I understand any regulations, policies and processes which relate to the job role and provide fair outcomes when giving service to our customers.
