Responsible for leading the strategic marketing and communications support of a business unit through the development, planning and execution of marketing plans, campaigns, sales collateral (print/digital), social media, web content, social media and enhancements to support brand positioning and drive sales. Critical components of this position include creativity, excellent proofreading ability, attention to detail, strong work ethic, good organization skills, multi-tasking and strong project management to ensure deadlines and budgets are met.

Expected to demonstrate a high degree of initiative and independence in assessing and diagnosing marketing needs, proactively devising marketing solutions that further the business objectives and taking a hands-on approach to ensuring their successful implementation. Responsible for problem solving and significant decision-making, and managing vendor, alliance partner and cross- functional relationships to meet business goals.

Specific responsibilities include strategic marketing planning, creative direction and layout, message development, writing, using research and analytics to drive planning and messaging, following and improving upon established processes, strong project leadership and management, building and maintaining great relationships with clients and co-workers and communicating effectively with them, using quantifiable metrics to track performance and progress. Responsibilities are varied and complex and include frequent cross- functional interactions. Will work at both business unit and corporate levels. Will interface with business unit leadership and business process owners. May perform work in other FPLES functions as assigned.

- Expected to demonstrate expertise through writing and editing tests
- Must demonstrate expertise in the development and disciplined execution of strategic marketing plans and using research and audience insight to develop key messages
- Demonstrated discipline in project execution
- Excellent writing, verbal, editing, presentation, and overall communication skills; extremely strong writing and editing skills
- Strong dedication to customer service; the ability to remain flexible and adaptable to meet the demands of internal clients and demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for their business
