Global Service / Global Service Sales.
You will be part of the Global Service Sales (GSS), a high performing department reporting directly to the Head of Service, member of Vestas' Executive Committee.

We work across five Service Sales Regions (SSR's) in Europe, North and Latin America and Asia-Pacific, and our ambition is to build a strong Service Sales organization that fosters collaboration across our regions and between the GSS and SSR's, ensuring alignment on service sales targets, strategic initiatives, and development of sales capabilities. With full profit & loss responsibility the Service Regions are accountable for regional revenue and margin targets, where GSS is accountable for revenue and margin growth on global level. GSS sets the revenue and contribution margin ambition level across the SSR's.

The Service Sales organization drives growth within three Service business areas:
  1. Maintenance: Service contracts for new power plants and our large installed fleet.
  2. Parts & Repair: Spare parts and repair offerings outside service contracts.
  3. Fleet Optimization: Advanced offerings optimizing profitability and lifetime of the installed fleet.

Commercial Operations is supporting the three business area teams as well as Global Service Sales management with various analyses as well as the annual strategy and planning cycle.

It is our ambition to strengthen Vestas' position as Fleetwide Lifetime Service Partner. With recent acquisitions of individual service providers, Availon and UpWind, Vestas reinforces its position as Fleetwide Service Partner. Therefore, you are expected to support the development of a non-Vestas business in addition to reinforcing our leading position on the Vestas fleet.

In this role you report to the Head of Global Service Sales (GSS), Vice President, and you will be leading the global and regional Commercial Operations teams.

Working in a partnership structure towards the three Service business areas, Commercial Operations is responsible for the annual strategy and planning cycle, including budgeting, strategic forecasting and sales performance management. Also, the team supports business and customer intelligence, lead & opportunity management, and price & margin management through business analysis. Furthermore, it will be your responsibility to set direction for CRM and Sales Process Management, ensuring frontline execution, speed and insights.

We aim at strengthening our capabilities within Commercial Operations at global and regional level and it is your role to support the change agenda. To become successful in this role you need to be a strong business transformation, people and network leader.

Your key tasks will include:
  • Provide sales performance analyses and act as primary resource and sounding board to the Service Management regarding sales performance.
  • Continuously improve reporting structure to support the commercial development.
  • Work with Finance on driving the annual budgeting and target setting process.
  • Support strategic forecasting with analyses of market size and share and customer share of wallet.
  • Manage the entire product and branding hierarchy, and facilitate strong annual operating plans across the three Service business areas.
  • Run portfolio management for the new product development roadmap towards Vestas Technology.
  • Drive sales excellence across Service Sales Regions and support implementation and development of CRM.
  • Define sales process improvements to be driven by Vestas Global Processes.
  • Set financial process requirements towards Vestas Finance.

  • Master level degree from business school or university.
  • Experienced senior commercial leader.
  • International leadership experience.
  • Proficient in English both spoken and written.

  • Strong people leader, networker and pragmatic problem solver.
  • Balanced profile between hunter & challenger and deal closer skills.
  • Profit seeking decision maker, risk taker, and driven by success.
  • Customer-orientated and strong business acumen.
  • Excellent communicator and solid stakeholder manager.
  • Skills within contract value engineering, account management, profit & price management, and new product launches management.
  • Team player and action-oriented high performing individual
