Site Manager needed for ISCCPP in Saudi Arabia. My client is the Owners Engineer for the project, which will consist of the construction of a 600 MW CCGT PP with an integrated solar field.

Manage a site supervision team which will consist of a Senior Contract Engineer, Lead Mechanical Engineer, Lead Electrical Engineer, Lead I&C Engineer, Lead Solar Engineer, Senior HSE Engineer, Lead Commissioning Engineer, Site QA/QC Engineer and the respective supervisors.

  • Lead a 50+ multidisciplinary Owner’s Engineer Team;
  • Assist the owner in establishing and maintaining the cost control and in the evaluation of variation orders and claims by the Contractor while verifying the Contractor’s invoices are in accordance with the payment schedule;
  • Preparation of construction management manual, planning of execution, monitoring of progress and overall supervision of PMC’s site activities while conforming with safety and security regulations;
  • Prepare an overall construction schedule consisting of activities of all vendors;
  • Coordination of all infrastructure for the effective execution of site works;
  • Arrange weekly site meetings with the Owner and the Contractor;
  • Supervise site activities while conforming with the construction documents (drawings, calculations);
  • Inspect construction materials ensuring their compliance with the technical specification;;
  • Review and comment the inspection, test, shipping and delivery reports of Contractor;
  • Ensure that the Contractor’s drawings represent the latest status of works;
  • Ensure the submission of as-built drawings, O&M manuals and spare part lists;
  • Verify that the site work and tests are carried out in accordance with the specification, contracts and applicable Codes and Standards as well as with the local laws;
  • Review of QA programs including all procedures, qualifications and test reports related to welding;
  • Supervision of final acceptance tests and preparation of acceptance certificates;
  • Supervision and coordination of the commissioning activities (start-up, trial operation...);
  • Review of the Contractor’s start-up and operating procedures and test schedules;
  • Minimum of a Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 25 years’ experience in boilers and/or turbines – whilst not exceeding the age of 59 (for Visa reasons)
  • Prior experience in similar projects at a similar level – designing and/or supervising thermal power plant projects with a capacity of at least 600 MW per unit
  • 15 years’ experience as a Site Manager, with similar scope of work
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory
