  • In this position, a Marketing Manager can expect to be responsible for the following:

    With Account Teams, identify unmet customer needs for applicable product areas and communicate them to the Product Lines. 
    Prioritize, define and implement product promotion and technical sales tactics for applicable product areas. 

    Utilizing voice of customer data and market intelligence, work with product lines to enhance current product offerings, recommend delivery improvements and assess new product development concepts. 

    Establish the market price for applicable product areas.
    Support offer development by providing product information (in collaboration with product lines) and recommending winning value propositions.
    Develop and execute global market pull/product push tactics for applicable product areas.

    Facilitate the Integrated Market Plan process (for assigned product areas) and drive implementation actions specific to applicable product areas for the Asia Region.

    This position will involve regular interaction with Director/VP of product line segments, Account Team executives, Customer Account Managers, and Product Managers, periodic interaction with Customer executives in collaboration with Region Account Team Customer Account Managers and occasional interaction with vendors/suppliers regarding product features and viability.

Job Requirements
  • The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:

    Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field

    At least 10 years of related experience in engineering or product management and exposure to marketing principles and processes. 

    Direct experiences in product management, marketing, market research, and strategic planning with an in-depth knowledge of selected products and services.  

    Proven abilities in data analytics to review and validate market and competitor research and recommend actions in response.

    Consultative skills to support Account Team in business development and negotiation that leads to positive customer response, increased selling and orders entered.  

    Strong ability to interface with product line leaders on new product development progress and delivery improvements.

    Understanding of customer requirements as defined in requests for quotation & ability to define best response in terms of product offerings, technical descriptions, pricing/cost structures.

    In depth knowledge of strategic and business planning processes.  

    Demonstrated abilities in offer development, pricing theory and definition of value proposition.   

    Ability to gather, analyze and draw conclusions from marketplace and competitive data and develop effective strategies and tactical approaches in response.

    Customer communication skills emphasizing presentation effectiveness, negotiation, persuasion and diplomacy.
