The ABB Global Business Services - Information Systems organization (GBS IS) is a unique unit providing software development and infrastructure services which support the business processes of ABB across the world. Everyday a team of talented developers, infrastructure experts, project managers, service managers and other specialists works on advanced IT solutions to improve the productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of ABB business operations. ABB is currently developing the IS Application Development and Maintenance Organization to consolidate and deliver high quality, cost-effective and innovative IS services to ABB business units around the globe. The IS Workplace Productivity Specialist leads various core activities and supports programs, products and services within the Productivity function of IS Workplace. The function ensures that end users are productive with IS tools and services as they perform their work for ABB. They connect with users to engage them and understand their needs, to provide timely, relevant and high quality information through communications and learning interventions, and to ensure their satisfaction with IS Workplace products and services through surveys and adoption activities. The function also supports IS teams to launch new or enhanced products and services by providing a modern portal, framework and guidance and by providing support on key projects and IS workplace products and services. • Provides thought leadership, planning, and development of the elements of the IS Workplace Productivity Framework and related concepts including guidance, best practices, templates and examples. Consults with IS colleagues on the use and application of the Framework.
• Leads one or more projects such as the Digital Workplace campaigns (Be mobile, Virtual meetings, Store and Share and more) and leads Productivity activities in support of services, programs or products such as Office 365, audio and voice initiatives, etc. This may include end user needs analysis/profiling, portal design/development, content development and publication, interface with 3rd party providers (content development and requirements), and learning and adoption activities including soliciting/ analyzing feedback and related action planning.
• Lead a team of global Digital Workplace coordinators in three regions; Europe, Americas and Asia Middle East and Africa.
• Works to ensure timely and quality execution of agreed deliverables prepared by incumbent or others. Interfaces with stakeholders in the project/program and regions/countries globally to support, follow up and/or ensure actions are taken locally as required.
• Prepares, contributes to, delivers, and/or supports content, materials, logistics, and/or equipment for Region Workplace Productivity audio/video conferences for briefings, train the trainer sessions or periodic meetings.
• Leads and participates in various periodic meetings with stakeholders within IS, Corporate Communication, others functions and the business globally.
• Follows up and responds to stakeholder inquiries and related actions from program teams, local/regional contacts, etc.

• Degree preferably in business, design, communications or learning with an emphasis in technology;
• 7+ years of previous experience in customer experience, user experience, end user communications, and/or end user learning within the technology field;
• Strong experience in managing projects and/or team leadership;
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365, web page development and graphic design tools (e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign) preferred;
• Strong planning, organizational, program/logistics coordination skills. Ability to both work in a fast paced and dynamic environment on short term projects and the ability to work on longer term projects requiring extended planning time. Attention to detail and quality conscious;
• Demonstrated advanced level of business and technical writing skills and verbal communication skills in English. Additional languages are an asset;
• Strong internal customer-orientation / customer service approach;
• Demonstrated ethical and safe behavior and high integrity;
• Team oriented - collaborative style willing to support others and ask for help when needed. Interested and able to work in a multi-cultural environment;
• Self-reflective, open to feedback, and willing to change as needed;
• Demonstrated intermediate desktop computer skills in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, calendar/messaging, and the Internet. Knowledge/experience with Sitefinity (or other content management systems), HTML, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and other multimedia software is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of web marketing and web design is preferred.
