If so, ABB's Substations unit in Västerås could be your next inspired career move. We have an opening for a skilled communicator and experienced document controller, able to drive complex projects forward. The Substations unit manufactures complete switchgear systems for transmission and distribution networks. Our turnkey switchgear projects include high and medium voltage equipment, transformers, protection and control systems, complete steel structures, and construction assemblies. The unit is currently enjoying a period of strong growth with a large number of market-leading projects, and currently employs some 180 people in Västerås, Ludvika, Norrköping, Sundsvall and Gothenburg.

The core responsibility of this role is leading project documentation in support of our project management teams. You will be expected to have in-depth understanding of documentation requirements. Another key aspect of this role will be to identify, delegate, and distribute work between project assistants in the department, as well as support them in their daily tasks.

You will also be responsible for structuring and maintaining quality assurance of documentation towards customers and sub-suppliers, and ensuring that the appropriate documentation is delivered on time and in accordance with ABB's and customers' contractual demands. You will also have a key role in the continuous development and improvement of the document management process.

You are highly organized, with the capacity to manage several projects simultaneously. Naturally, you are a proficient communicator, able to work with a variety of touchpoints including customers and co-workers. You are a skilled problem solver who looks at issues holistically, you also have excellent leadership skills. Today, you are likely to work in energy, construction, or other major plant-orientated sector, and have built up extensive documentation management experience over many years.

Ideally, you hold a Master's degree in engineering or informatics or other equivalent qualification. Our working languages are English and Swedish, fluency in both languages is therefore required.
