The PQE is responsible for:
- fulfillment of special processes qualification of gas turbine components repair in accordance with GE's documented procedures and practices.
- driving process & product quality by reducing defects within repair processes partnering with salaried & hourly staff to build quality into each step of the repair.
- manufacturing and engineering process support and improvement of workshop performance.

Essential Responsibilities

Provide qualification of employees, vendors and repair processes.
- Develop technological documentation (work instructions, standard plans, welding procedures, route maps and other technical documentation) in accordance with GE procedures.
-Make changes to technical documentation in connection with the adjustment of production processes and production modes.
- Collaborate with the global engineering team GE. Participate in technical meetings in conjunction with the other shops.
- Optimize and improve of gas turbine components repair processes.
- Develop technical specification for new fixtures, tools and equipment design & purchasing.
- Participate in the development of control programs (for CNC equipment) in debugging the developed programs, adjusting them in the process of being finalized.
- Drive a 'zero exception' culture with Quality; sustaining Operations compliance to Regulatory & Non Regulatory regulations by engaging the shop floor operators on a daily basis.
- Lead defect reduction projects and working inclusively with EHS and Engineering to resolve shop floor quality issues promptly.
- Drive On-Time-Delivery for the Shop through the elimination of rework loops driven by quality issues affecting FPY.
- Championing quality initiatives and Cost of Quality reduction projects in the cell.
- Develop and maintain process technology and create process
- Determine root cause of any non-conformances and implement corrective actions
- Compile reports for QMR and other reviews as required
- Ensure test records are maintained, metrics collected, and reports given back to the business
- Support training activities for new employees or when job changes take place related to technology.
- Championing/Supporting 5S Lean initiatives within the Shop


Min. Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of engineering work experience in the field of
mechanical engineering, tool production,
- Experience in the production or repair of turbines is preferable.
- Experience in creation of programs for CNC machine.
- English language level not less than Upper Intermediate.
- Confident PC user. MS Office, Internet, CAD programs are preferable.
- Experience in operation different measuring tools.
- Experience in investigation management
- Good understanding of workshop practices/processes
- Demonstrated ability to lead change
- Demonstrated project management experience
- Demonstrated EHS and Quality focus

Desired Characteristics

Experience in operation of different measuring tools.
- Experience in a process quality role within a power generation
repair business.
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certified or Equivalent Quality Certification
- Experience with Lean deployment
- Strong Project Management and time management
- Demonstrated ability to solve technical issues and implement
solutions that account for EHS, quality and cost considerations
- Ability to manage priorities and achieve results
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Operations Management Leadership Program (OMLP) Graduate
