The key purpose of this role is to safely deliver specified Wind Farm projects on time and budget, within contractual obligations and Vestas corporate requirements:
  • Project management in accordance with PMBOK principles.
  • Site liaison and direction.
  • Client relationship development and management.
  • Contractor / Subcontractor management.
  • Active project risk management.
  • Accountability for the project budget and cashflow.
  • Overall accountability for safety and quality compliance at project level

  • Communicate with project team and all stakeholders.
  • Contract finalisation, including terms and conditions, warranty and handover.
  • Applying contractual obligations to client expectations, while upholding Vestas' contract position.
  • Negotiate agreed outcomes to contract disputes, and finalise contract legals on project completion.
  • Accurate and timely reporting to client.
  • Liaise with Sales in pre-sales feasibility, scoping projects and providing estimate costings.
  • Manage transition from Sales to Project Phase and to Service.
  • Assess issues and risk, manage resolutions.
  • Ensure the project meets its objectives.
  • Determine, implement and analyse the project cost controls.
  • Project progress reports, collated monthly and at milestones, variances to timeline and OH&S.

  • Degree in Engineering - Mechanical, Civil or Electrical.
  • Managed teams in a major project environment.
  • Managed projects in major infrastructure environment.
  • Management and reporting of budgetary requirements.
  • Management of complex infrastructure contracts.
  • Negotiation with major stakeholders, both clients / contractors.
  • Experience in high pressure environment.

  • Advanced MS Office
  • Basic SAP usage
  • Verbal and written communication/ negotiation
  • Relationship building, both internal and external
  • Business acumen
  • Continual system improvement

Additional information:

Primary work location is Melbourne, Australia.
National and international travel will be required.
